William “Bill” Weber of Sugarloaf Township, passed away Tuesday, at the age of 77. He is survived by his daughter Sharon; son Billy and his wife Sarah; brother Butch; sisters Lori and Betty; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren;  and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Margaret (Starnes) Weber; daughter Kimberly; his wife Joyce; his stepdaughter Joyce Ann; 8 brothers and sisters.

For over 35 years, Bill, alongside his wife, was the proud owner of a local bar in Hazleton, “Joyce and Bill’s Bar and Grill.” A gracious host who loved to entertain his patrons, many of whom became lifelong friends and like family, he would often put together barbeques, deep sea fishing trips, and casino trips to Atlantic City. Bill was a strong supporter of Veterans and the VA Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, where for the last 12 years he would donate his time and cooked corn for Vets, monthly, rain or shine. He became known as the “Corn King.”  He was also the President of the 33 Club.

In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, and making chocolate covered pretzels for EVERYBODY. He will be greatly missed by all.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 12th, at the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, with Tom Boyle assisting, from 2-4 P.M.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
