      Marilyn Wolfe Soltis, 87, formerly of Hazleton, PA, passed away December 1st, 2020 at Providence Place Senior Living Community, Drums, PA where she had been a resident. 

      Born in Hazleton, she was married for 63 years to her husband John Soltis, who preceded her in death on December 30, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her brother Bill Wolfe.

      Surviving relatives are her sister Janet Walker, brother Clarence Wolfe and several nieces and nephews.

      After graduating from Hazleton High School in 1950, Marilyn pursued a degree from the McCann School of Business & Technology.. After receiving her degree, Marilyn was first employed with the 1
      st National Bank of Hazleton as a teller for several years. Subsequently, she worked at AAA for 10 years as a secretary creating trip tickets. She finished her career at Peoples National Bank as an Assistant Administrator for Human Resources and the President of the bank.

      Over the years, she enjoyed being a member of the reunion committee for the Hazleton High School Class of 1950, fulfilling the role of treasurer. Marilyn was also a life member and past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mayflower Chapter 107.

      Her funeral service will be held on June 5
      th at noon with the Order of the Eastern Star, Mayflower Chapter 107 officiating. Entombment will be in Vine Street Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday in the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, from 11 A.M.- 1 P.M.
