      Jean S. Schiavone, 99, formerly of Hazleton, passed away Friday at the Reading Hospital.  Born in Hazleton on April 6,1926, she was the daughter of the late James and Mildred (Yanuzzi) Russell. She was the widow of Daniel Schiavone.

      Jean was previously employed by Carmella Dress, Hazleton. She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels RC Church, Laureldale, PA.

      Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her brother John J. Russell, and sisters Dolores McCauley and Angeline Cusate.

      Surviving are her sister Amelia Hill, Reading, with whom she resided, and several nieces and nephews.

      Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 22nd, at 10 A.M. in Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton.  Burial will be in Most Precious Blood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends in the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton on Thursday morning from 8:30-9:30 A.M.

      Our deepest condolences to you Amelia, your family, friends on behalf of the entire DiBlasi, Capawan, Bodzio family. The "Russell's" were 2 doors away, great friends, enjoyed growing our vegetable gardens, many happy memories in little patch town Pardeesville between our families through the generations. The town overall. Very sadly missed, sending prayers. All the best and take good care. God Bless.
