Denis G. Saul, 76, a resident at Smith Health Care, passed away Tuesday at Wilkes Barre General Hospital. Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Santini and Genevieve (DeJoseph) Saul and was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Hazleton.
He was a Navy Veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Nescopeck Hunting and Gun Club. He retired from Consolidated Cigar Corporation, Hazleton. Denis loved classical and country music and loved the outdoors.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his brother Ramon “Ray” Saul, and sister Rosemarie Bereznak.
Surviving are his daughter Angela Saul, Michigan; sister Catherine Yedlock and her husband Frank, Hazle Twp; cousin John Saul, who provided support for Dennis and his family during his illness; and nieces, nephew and their children.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date when the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
