      Ernest N. Porreca, 73, of Hazleton passed away Sunday, July 12th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.  Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Ernest and Susan (Cusatis) Porreca.

      He graduated from Hazleton High School in 1971 and retired from the Social Security Administration as a program analyst/system administrator.

      Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his sister Mary Jo Gerace.

      Surviving are his sister Marlene Minnick and her husband Ronald; brother Robert Porreca and wife Melissa; and several nieces and nephews.

      His funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 25th, at 5 P.M. in the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton. Burial will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends on Saturday in the funeral home from 5-7 P.M.

      Memorial donations may be made to the Wilkes-Barre SPCA, 524 E Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
