    • Obituary
      Barbara M. Melnick, 70, of Hometown, passed away Saturday at her home. Born in Weatherly, she was the daughter of the late William and Lorraine (Weigel) Roberts and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hazleton.

      She was a 1968 graduate of Weatherly High School and also attended flight attendant school. Barbara was the co-owner with her husband for Hometown Video Library and All Occasion Video. She was a secretary for Toms Auto Body and Marine Shop, Tamaqua for 15 years.

      Surviving are her husband of 41 years Michael Melnick; daughter Tami Nickerson and her husband Scott; and grandchildren Hunter and Liam.

      Her memorial service will be held on July 9th at 11 A.M. in Christ Lutheran Church. The Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12
      th St., Hazleton, is in charge of the arrangements.

      My sincere sympathy to you on Barbie's passing.  It was quite shocking to me.  Barbie was a wonderful and helpful person to me when my children were young.  Both my girls offer their condolences also. Peace and comfort to you, Mike and Tammy.
