It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony (Bean) Marino on Saturday, May 17th. He is preceded in death by his parents Emil and Pauline (Bonomo) Marino and his brother Frank Marino.

He is a 1968 graduate of Hazleton Area High School. Before retiring he was employed by the Greater Hazleton Joint Sewer Authority.

He had many passions throughout his life. He was a great writer, having published several short stories and poems. He loved hunting with his beloved German shorthaired pointer, Jessie, who stayed by his side to the end. He was famous for his “Beast Feast” which was held after each hunting season.

Anthony loved to play fingers, shuffleboard, softball and golf. It was this time of year that he would be preparing his garden to plant. He was famously known for his peppers.

His memory will be cherished by the love of his life, who he lived for, his daughter Dana Marino, his sister Mary Lou Marino- Carsia and husband Sal. He is also survived by his uncle and aunt, Nicholas and Marie Bonomo and a plethora of cousins.

A visitation will be held Thursday, May 22nd from 3-5 P.M. at the Joseph A Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton. A prayer service will be held immediately following the visitation by his cousin Rev. James Paisley. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
