    • Obituary
      Michael LaRose, 90, of Hazleton, passed away Wednesday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Pacenza) LaRose and was a member of Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton.

      He was a 1948 graduate of Hazleton High School and retired from All-Steel, Hazleton. He enjoyed woodworking, channel 6 News out of Philadelphia, and spending time with his grandchildren.

      Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his wife the former Margaret Green in 2013; brother Louis LaRose; and sister Marie LaRose.

      Surviving are his daughters Sharon LaRose, Hazleton, and Michele Lizbinski and her husband Michael, Sugarloaf; grandchildren Meghan Lizbinski, Glassboro, NJ, and Nicholas and Madison Lizbinski, Sugarloaf; brothers Anthony LaRose and his wife Amy, Muncy, and John LaRose and his wife Caroline, Kelayres; and numerous nieces and nephews.

      His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 30th, at noon in Most Precious Blood Church. Entombment will be in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery. Covid-19 restrictions will be in place.

      Sharon and family, so sorry to hear of the passing of your loved one. Michael was such a soft spoken and gentle man and I enjoyed taking care of him when he was a resident. Again,sorry for your loss.
