      Theresa “Terri” Krash, 82, of Hazleton, passed away Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.  Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Pino) Repanshek.

      Terri graduated Hazleton High School in 1961 and graduated Hazleton State General Hospital School of Nursing in 1964.  She pioneered with the team that introduced the Heart/Lung Machine at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. She worked as a nurse at the Hazleton State General Hospital Dispensary (ER) and at Koval-Getter oral surgery center.  After 28 years, she retired as the executive director of Meals on Wheels.

      Terri also taught ESL through the JCC. She enjoyed reading, playing scrabble, and listening to Nina Simone’s music. She followed family Italian traditions bringing memories of the past into our holiday meals. She made lasting friendships through playing bridge for over 50 years.  The bridge group (Teropedon) enjoyed many good times, through raising their families and sharing many laughs and tears.

      Terri married Bob Krash, her soul mate, on September 11, 1971.  They enjoyed traveling the Eastern Caribbean Region, watching the Eagles and Phillies games, and vacationing at LBI Shores. 

      Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Robert Krash in 2018; and baby sister Susan.

      Surviving are her daughter Kristen Krash, Ecuador; son Robert Krash, Hazleton; sisters Marifrances Yurek and husband Ted, Rosemary Meier and husband John, Jayne Stefanovich and husband Robert, and Christine Senick and husband Robert; brother Frank Repanshek and wife Terri; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.

      The family would like to thank the staff at Lehigh Valley Hazleton 5th Floor and ICU for their compassionate care.

      The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12-2 P.M. in the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

      In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, 1058 Peace St., Hazle Twp., PA 18202.
