It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Janie Lee Gaudiano (née Feaster), who passed away on June 3, 2025, in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Janie Lee was the daughter of Neil “Ducky” Feaster and Doris Feaster (née Frey) of Weatherly. She graduated from Weatherly Area High School in 1970.

Janie Lee was deeply devoted to her family. She married her husband, Dominic “Nicky” Gaudiano, in 1973, and together they settled in the Ridgewood section of Hazle Township, where they raised their three children: Bernadette, Michael, and Nicholas. She was a proud and loving grandmother to five grandchildren, whom she adored and could talk about for hours. Sharing stories about them brought her endless joy.

Family was at the heart of everything Janie Lee did. She not only cherished her loved ones in the present but held a deep reverence for those who came before. Her favorite hobby was genealogy—painstakingly building family trees that traced back centuries. She loved uncovering her roots and was always eager to help others do the same.

Janie Lee is survived by her beloved husband, Dominic Gaudiano; her children, Bernadette and Chad Hischar, Michael and Jennifer Gaudiano, and Nicholas and Laura Gaudiano; her grandchildren, Dominic and Antonio Gaudiano, and Dylan and Travis Gaudiano; her sister, Debra Herring (née Feaster) and brother-in-law, Calvin Herring; her sister-in-law Constance “Connie” Feaster (née Wagner); and many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kayla Knepper; her brother, David Feaster; her father, Neil Feaster; and her mother, Doris Feaster.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 10th, at 10 A.M. in Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. There will be no viewing.

The Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, is in charge of the arrangements.
