Salvador A. Gaudiano, Jr., 80, of Farragut, Tenn., passed away peacefully on Tuesday in hospice care near his home. He was surrounded by family at his bedside on the day he passed.

Born and raised in Hazleton, Pa., he was the son of Salvador “Tootie” and Rose A. (Zanei) Gaudiano.

He was a devoted father, grandfather and friend, whose warmth, kindness and good humor will be sorely missed by all who loved him. He loved golf, his morning Sudoku routine, old movies and spinning a good yarn with dear friends and family members. He will be remembered always for his legendary spaghetti dinners and his willingness to joyfully belt out a Frank Sinatra song, just about anywhere.

Sal graduated from Hazleton High School and Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD.

He worked at Price Waterhouse in Philadelphia and Hackensack, N.J., before his accounting career took him to Tennessee, where he served as a partner and treasurer of a coal brokerage business in Knoxville.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his sister Rosemary (Gaudiano) Genetti.

He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Gaudiano Albright, son-in-law Scott H. Albright; granddaughter Olivia Rose Albright; brother James Gaudiano; nephews Timothy and Alan Genetti and James (Jr.) and Paul Gaudiano; and former spouse Kathleen Medico Gaudiano.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 14th, at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Peace Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church in Hazleton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Drums. The family will receive friends in the church on Tuesday morning from 9 to 10 A.M.
