      Joseph A. DiSabella Sr., 60, of Sugarloaf, passed away suddenly at his home.  Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Peter and Rose (George) DiSabella and was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton.
       
      Joe was the Director of Transportation for the Hazleton Area School District. He served his Sugarloaf community as Township Supervisor, most recently as Chairman, as well as serving on the Planning and Recreation Committees. Joe never hesitated to help or serve the Township he loved. He was also a member of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors and he served on The Luzerne County 117th District Republican Committee as a committee member. 
       
      Joe was a member of Hazleton Azalea Fellowship Lodge #327, the Caldwell Consistory Valley of Bloomsburg , the Irem Shrine, Knights of Columbus Our Lady of Fatima Council #8613, and the Pioneer Fire Company Hazleton.
       
      He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and Joe very deeply loved his family. He was a true and faithful friend to all. 
       
      Surviving are his wife of 40 years the former Deborah Dabashinsky; children Joseph and his wife Emily, Laura, and Maurina; grandchildren Elynor and John DiSabella; sister Rosemarie Wagner; brothers Mauro and wife Mary, Vincent and wife Sheryl, Peter and wife Joyce, Nicholas and wife Marie, and Michael; and numerous nieces and nephews.
       
      His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 19th, at 10 A.M. in Our Lady of Peace Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18th, at the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton from 6-9 P.M.
