      Cecelia M. DiSabella, 98, a resident of Mountain City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center passed away Friday night at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton.  Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Bissol) Sottile and was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton.

      She was an accomplished artist and won many awards for her oil paintings.  She was a member of the Hazleton Art League for many years.  Prior to retirement, she worked in the office of Shirtcraft company and later in the office of Reidler Knitting Mills.  She was the proprietor of Jack’s Bar and Restaurant Supplies.

      Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Carlo P. DiSabella in 2015; grandson Matthew Peter DiSabella; sisters Anna and Mary Sottile, Congetta D’Angelo, Anell Amentler, and Nicholine Falcone; and brother Carmen Sottile.

      Surviving are her son Peter Frank DiSabella and his wife Alice, Hazleton; daughter Maria Bonin and her husband Ted, Hazleton; grandchildren Michael Bonin and wife Jennifer, Thomas Bonin and wife Stephanie, Lisa Bonin, and Amy Lee Shenyo and husband Eric; great grandchildren Kyle, Joshua, Paige, Tyler, and Dylan Bonin, Frank and Nicholas Giacobello, and Emilee Hope DiSabella; and numerous nieces and nephews.

      Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 19th, at 10 A.M. in Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning in the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton from 8:30-9:30 A.M.

      Maria , We were sorry to read of your mom's passing. We have experienced the strange feeling of not having earthly parents any more and knowing that we must carry on their legacy...the family traditions, the "good" they instilled in us..Please know that you and your family are in our hearts and prayers now, and as you go forward.
