Obituary
George J. Bozar III, 60, passed away peacefully at home on September 10th with his wife and daughter at his side. He was the son of the late George J. and Grace (Pontry) Bozar Jr.
George was a 1984 graduate of Bishop Hafey High School, and after graduating, George served over six years in the United State Air Force. He worked for Hershey Chocolate for over twenty years before becoming owner and operator of Boz General Hauling Inc until 2018. He also served as constable in Weatherly.
George, in his younger years, was an avid hunter with his father and grandfather, memories he always cherished. Since he was young, he loved to go camping and to this day he still did. Those who knew George loved him for his sense of humor, knowledge on so many things he learned along the way, and most of all his kindness.
Surviving are his wife Donna (Kolensky) Bozar; his daughter Destiny; brother-in-law Darren Kolensky (Kelli), Duane Kolensky (Trang); nephews and niece Chadd, Minn-Van, and Gianna; many cousins and their families; and Noah, his loyal canine companion.
A very special thank you to all family and friends who kept George in their thoughts and prayers, and to Compassus for their compassion and kindness, the care they had given George will never be forgotten.
Boz, Fly High with the Angels.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 18th, at 10 A.M in Holy Rosary Church, Hazleton. The family will receive friends in the church on Friday morning from 9-10 A.M. Burial will be held privately at Calvary Cemetery.
Donations in George’s memory can be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or to the American Liver Foundation.
The Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton is in charge of the arrangements. - Guestbook
