George W. “Butchie” Bakos, 78, of Hazleton, passed away Friday at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton. Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late George and Jennie Black, and was raised by his grandmother the late Grace Black. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton.
He was an Army Veteran. George and his wife Ida started their dream of running a pizza and Italian restaurant in 1986 which they named Georgio’s.
