Obituary
Michael C. Arlotto, 64, of Conyngham passed away peacefully early Saturday morning at Pennsylvania Hospital, the nation’s first hospital, in Philadelphia. Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Michael M. and Jean (Yatsula) Arlotto.
Prior to retirement, he worked as an Instrument and Control Planner at the Berwick Nuclear Power Station. He spent his retirement enjoying time with his family and friends. With a strong love for cooking, he’d share his favorite recipes with family, friends and especially his medical team, who we cannot thank enough. An avid Philly sports fan, his favorite way to spend the day was watching his favorite baseball team, win or lose.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his brother Anthony and sister-in-law Lori (Thomas) Arlotto.
Surviving are his children, Blaise Arlotto and partner Allison Jacobs, Conyngham; Adam and wife Marisa (Lagana) Arlotto, Lattimer Mines; and Danton and wife Marisa (Yanuzzi) Arlotto, Downingtown. Also surviving are his sister Michele Hutton, Hazleton, and her children, Julia Puza and husband Jason, Hazleton; son Raymond, Hazle Township; and his nephew Shawn Simon and fiancée Trista Whitmire, Bloomsburg.
A memorial service will be held at Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St, Hazleton, on Monday, March 30th, from 5-7 P.M. Friends and family are welcome to visit throughout this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made directly to the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home to be distributed by the family to St. Jude’s and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, in his memory. -
